From the top of the stairs toward my room, which is beyond the door:
I painted the inside of the mason jar with the turquoise paint and found the flowers at Walmart for $1.50. I painted the top of the shelf solid black, but it cracked and showed the primer beneath, and I actually liked it so much I didn't paint over it! I got the snowman from Jody from her girls as a Christmas present from ballet students. The box was made by my good friend Corinna for my 21st birthday.
Facing the other way: Mom's penquin, my classics in their newly-painted black bookshelf, and a pretty canvas print of France. Mirror and message board on the walls: There were two spots in the hall, one by my brother Jeffrey in this picture, one pictured to the right at the top of the stairs, where there used to be a window before my parents added on to the house. Grandpa lent me his spakle and tape and I patched them up. I think they look pretty good now! :) | Headed down the stairs: Standing on the landing of the stairs looking up: looking down: And now, some before pictures. |
From the stairs facing my room: Before we put the primer on, the wall was a combo of yellow flowery wallpaper and the turquoise hardwall under it. I couldn't get all the wallpaper off, so I painted over it. And it looks fine to me. :) The upstairs hallway painted in primer: | Ready to work! My sister Anna: And that's it! I didn't get a before picture of the sewing room. :-/ But I hope you enjoyed the pictures! And that post was so long I'll have to wait for another post to tell you my new ideas! :) |
