Oh my goodness.
There's this verse in Ezekiel 16.
There's this verse in Ezekiel 16.
"Then you will remember your ways and be ashamed when you receive your sisters.... I will give them to you as daughters, but not on the basis of my covenant with you." - Ezekiel 16:61
The people are Israel, of course. Israel will remember her ways (the ways she did wrong) and be ashamed when she receives her sisters. Earlier the sisters were clarified to be Sodom and Samaria, but possibly this could mean all of the world outside Israel.
Surely this is a prophecy! We are the daughters. Grafted in, not birth daughters. Daughters of her sisters. We are given to Israel, but not on the basis of the covenant God had made with Moses. It's the new covenant, our covenant! This is a Christ prophecy!
What must Israel have thought, hearing this?

"So I will establish my covenant with you, and you will know that I am the Lord, Then, when I make atonement for you for all you have done, you will remember and be ashamed and never again open your mouth because of your humiliation, declares the Sovereign Lord." - Ezekiel 16:62-63

He's talking about a new covenant. The word Atonement, even. He's totally giving hints here!
I love it. Amazing.
I also loved this. God is speaking about how he raised Israel up from what he describes as an abandoned infant. Loki???
Ok, sorry. ;)

"I adorned you with jewelry: I put bracelets on your arms and a necklace around your neck, and I put a ring on your nose, earrings on your ears and a beautiful crown on your head." - Ezekiel 16:11
God's choice of jewelry is not quite as particular as some Christians'.
Think them weirdos? I assure you, God's weirder. ;)
